How About That Foundation
We have poured many foundations over the years, but every once in awhile one really stands out for one reason or another. We poured a foundation in September that will stick in our minds for a long time to come.

Close your eyes and picture this: a very, I mean very steep incline, that is solid rock. There is no way around the foundation (it is very difficult to even walk around). It has an elevation difference of 32' and the walkout wall in the back is 17' tall.

We hired a 70 ton hydro crane to place panels because of the elevation drop and distance. We placed 63 yards of concrete in the footing and 203 yards in the wall. This foundation had 765'1" Lin. Ft. including 130'11" of curved wall. There were 24 different wall heights and 7 wall widths with multiple footing jumps ranging from 4" to 12'.

AutoCAD, Auto Crete and the Geodimeter were a critical part of this project and made layout easier and more accurate. We are pleased that we had the technology, manpower and resources to be part of this intricate and challenging foundation.
